Policy and Lobby Committee

I was a member of Policy and Lobbying Committee for one year before I moved back to education. I consider Policy and Lobby Committee to be very important – by lobbying Citizenship and Immigration Canada we are trying to achieve changes that would better reflect the reality of our society and the role of immigration in building Canada. CAPIC is also lobbying CSIC for better and more fair treatment of consultants – both those who are already full members and those who are still working towards meeting the qualification criteria.

I felt that my role is in education and after one year I moved on to the Education Committee of Ontario Branch.
