When the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants was been called for March 26, 2009, members were offered 3 voluntary CPD points for attending. No further information was available
At the meeting, members had three opportunity to vote. Each time, only two options were available: Yes - No. No option to abstain from voting. Almost one third of the members did not vote during each vote. Most likely because they simply didn't know how to vote or refused to vote on a principle
A few days after the AGM, the Directors announced that those members that did not vote will not be granted the 3 voluntary points.
Members call on the Directors of the Society to call a Special Meeting to discuss the CPD program.
